Now I have a very important question for the people who visit my web page.
When did all white protestant men become oppressive rapist bigots?

I mean, last time I checked I have a lot of friends of a lot of different ethnic minorities. I’m not racist. But for some reason the “white man” oppresses Native Americans, the black man, Mexicans, Gays and Lesbians on a regular basis. Now you people of minorities that feel so oppressed by the “white man” and then meet me and say “well your different”. I have one thing to tell you “BULL SHIT” If you can’t see past your own racism then you have a problem. All the people out there rallying against your white oppressors need to realize that you are causing more problems then you are helping because you are creating a new stereotype. I am not a racist, nor will I ever be, but now i feel that I am somewhat of a minority because I walk across the quad and hear people yelling that they need to “Take back the night” from the men (this is a long story, and if you want to know why I’m pissed at this group you’ll have to ask me yourself), and how the black man needs to unite to work for the “equality” that they deserve that was taken away from them by the “white man”, and finally the one that has me the most pissed. The Native Americans. I admit it, somewhere a long time ago some cowboy that I might be related to chased you down and killed your great great great great great grandfather, and I’m sorry. But there isn’t a whole lot that I can do about that now, is there? That doesn’t give you the right to always come in and say that any time a white guy mimics anything from your culture that we are being racist
This last Friday a hearing took place at follinger. I agree that the Chief may not be the best choice for a mascot with our “politically correct” society we have today. But the fact remains that when the mascot was adopted it was during a time when the understanding of native American culture was ignorant to say the least, and didn’t think that they were construing their culture. Now the Chief is a proud symbol, and stands for everything that unites the people in our school. But the point I’m making isn’t about whether it is alright to keep the chief or not, it is about the issues discussed during this hearing that were brought up. Particularly I would like to quote something said by Dino Pollock, a former Illini football player. He stated “Appeals to white institutions and white people don’t work. Emotional appeals do not work with you, and logic doesn’t work. It seems the only thing white institutions and white people understand is litigation and violence.”
That seems pretty damned racist to me. The very thing that the people against the chief claim is their cause they completely ignore to tear at the “white institution”. The anti-chief groups say that “Racial Stereotype dehumanize”, but I ask you, is it OK to use stereotypes like the “white institutions”, and “white people.” The answer is simple, NO! I don’t think it is OK to call all black people gangsters, and all Mexicans as worthless border jumpers, so why is it OK to assume that the white institutions are all deaf to reason and logic. I personally find it sad that this poor angry man cannot use his intelligence and “logic”, that the white people don’t understand, to really put a good point out to the floor, but instead can only come up w/ propaganda, and just use the stereotypes that he seems to be against to excite the crowd and just receive a response, but in reality is not saying anything that makes much sense at all. I understand logic, and reason. I really don’t understand violence and fail to see how that factors into a debate about a school symbol. Somehow I just wish that the emphasis on race that is currently in place for everything important could just disappear. What we have today is called “reverse discrimination”. I personally don’t feel that this is what Martin Luther King wanted when he rallied on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. He wanted equality. He wanted blacks, whites, Asians, and every other variety of ethnic backgrounds to be equal. He wanted no one to have an unfair advantage. But what has happened is that somewhere down the line is that the minorities have an unfair advantage in many areas. Affirmative Action is a really good example of this. I think that it wasn’t necessarily a bad idea, but all it does is create more separations. For example; if someone of a heritage outside the US, and a white man were applying for a job, and the white guy was more qualified. The white guy should be the obvious choice for the job, but no. If the company doesn’t have its “quota” of minorities represented in their current employees, then the other man would be hired, even though the other is more qualified. This was put in place to discourage racist shop owners that would hire only one ethnic background, but now it seems to be used against the majority more then for the minorities.

I had a lot more to say here, but really I’m just sick of this shit, so I am going to leave everyone with this one last thing. I am no longer a whitie/cracker/sugar cube/hick/redneck/oppressor/whatever minorities call Caucasians
That’s right, from this day forward I will be referred to as Euro-American, a new minority. From now until everyone can drop this bullshit about racial equality, and really do something about it instead of just turning it into a fight against white people, I will be a minority too. Just remember that I am only doing this to go along with the crowd, because I am proud to call myself American, but to feel important I felt it necessary to tack something on to the beginning. Because that is obviously everyone else’s take on it, otherwise so many people that are PC wouldn’t have done that to their status as AMERICAN too.
Don’t even try to email me about this because I don’t want to be oppressed by any of your white Institutions.
