So, before I answer the question I would like to say that I really love this passage. It is really cool because we see Paul coming back to Jerusalem to share with people the message he has been spreading to the Gentiles. I like that part because they say that some people try to tell them that obeying the law is how we receive the grace of God, but he told them where they could stick it, and that was cool. But I particularly like the next part. This is the part where Paul sees Peter acting like he was all that and a snack pack, and he was ignoring the Gentiles that he had been living with because some of his old Jewish friends showed up. So Paul lays the smack down and calls Peter a hypocrite. I liked that. I always like Peter in the gospels because he sounded like he had his foot in his mouth more often then not. Then, Pentecost, and whoosh, Peter is suddenly awesome and like preaches to 5 thousand people. But here we are reminded that he still screws up. So I like that. It kind of puts people in a down to earth kind of perspective and removes them from that idea that they are larger then life. But anyway, on to my question.
Q: What is one thing that you could do this week to share God’s love in a practical way with someone in your life.
I am trying more to just do simple things for people. I have found that picking up around the house without complaining about it, or doing some dishes without saying anything about it. Those are some simple things that I could do, and hopefully I can find time to do some of that this week. Maybe Saturday afternoon I’ll have time for something like that.
Alright, I have to go to class, maybe I’ll write something later that doesn’t have to do with my devotions.
