Concerning Religion and Seths Mom

No Gravatar

So, Seths mom…..yeah….you know what I’m talking about…..or you should. So like she has her own “sexual” gravity….which makes her like a planet-god of some type….or something, so maybe we should start a Seths Mom Religion.

But seriously, religion in general has been a hot topic around our little corner of the world. Mainly we’ve been discussing pro/cons of different denominations within the christian community. So that has been quite a wild ride. I feel bad for some people because they don’t really want to read the Bible, but they want to think that they can lean on understanding that they have gained from the world around them. This wouldn’t be a big problem except that there are very simple biblical principals that are easy to distort when you aren’t focused on the word of God. Well, anyway, that is my little rant from things I’ve been observing in some people. Actually it hasn’t been a trait I’ve noticed in the people I’ve been discussing things with, but more in the people around us. It is an easy lie for satan to tell people that they don’t need to read the bible to understand gods will for our lives. But it is simply a lie….and people should understand that, but I see it all to often….hell, I’ve even bought that lie before. So now I understand differently and it is a whole different ball game. But them is the breaks…some people will hear and believe, and others will ignore and try to rely on themselves.

But I’m tired, so I think I’ll stop now….so Laidies and Gentleman, Thank you, and Goodnight.

Seth is getting married

So I just want to officially announce that I think Seth and Nicole are going to get married sometime in the next 5 years. I say this because the two of them really want eachother and it is completely apparent. But Seth is all…deny, deny, deny. I told him he should just go ring shopping, because it is hopeless for him to resist.

Also, I would like to say, if you are going to bother posting a comment, please do it on my site, and not livejournal, since I can’t respond to comments added in livejournal. It takes no more links, just click the link at the top of the entry, it will take you to the comment link (I believe) so you can post on my site, and add karma and whatnot. So anyway….I won’t steal Rob’s stolen catch phrase this time….I’ll just end by saying….
Thank you, and goodnight.

LiveJournal Does not Suck…in fact it is pretty cool

No Gravatar

Well, LiveJournal now has a feed to my RSS file. You can find it HERE for you livejournal people who want to add it to your friends. So everyone should thank Andrew Wu since he has a paid account he was able to add my syndication feed to livejournal. So now no-one can complain that they can’t read my site in their “friends” list….so add my feed….it is even down to .5 points now…so it is cheap. Anyway, I fixed one of the problems that Andrew talked about in his post, and I’m gonna fix another very soon, so you can all see the date and time I added this.

So anyway, I’m out, and as Rob has made a habit of saying…..The Dude abides.

Fun times with Livejournal

For those of you who migh actually read this that don’t know what LiveJournal is, it is a free community style blog site that will host free blogs for anyone who gets invited by a friend. Well that is all well and good if you are looking for something simple…but me being an internet “indy” guy would opt for the more difficult route of hosting my own blog so I can customize it at will, and integrate it into my site easily. (If I do ever finish the rest of the site) But there is a problem. My friends on livejournal have this link they can easily make called “friends” that is a page created by all the other “friends” with livejournal accounts most recent posts. Which is hella cool, cuz one click checks all the latest updates from all your friends. But here is the catch, there is no good way to just add my site to theirs….making it more difficult for the lazy to actually come here. But the good news is that there is a solution to all this. Livejournal users can add syndicated blogs and news sites to thier “friends” list. So you would think that I am set and so would my friends. But there is also a catch to this. Some features in livejournal work on a point system. And to add an unpopular feed (read my blog) you must have at least 1 point. But free accounts on LJ only have .99 points. So someone with a payed account, which start with 10 points, has to add me. Now the more that people add me the less expensive it becomes, in points, to add my site, so if someone did add me that had a point, it could quickly drop into the range of the free accounts and soon it would be very cheap cuz many of my friends could add me. So, if you read this…and have a LiveJournal account with at least an available point…..add this feed so that other people can add it to.

But with that last desperate plea, I must be off to sleep and dream of my upcomming semiconductor physics class……Thank you, and goodnight.

Minor site upgrades

I’m trying out this new thing where I can use some different type of news feed….since I broke the script with upgrades for security to the blog scripts…but try this file if your interested in a feed to read my blog from whatever rss reader your down with.

Crazy test

No Gravatar

So Daniel posted this test on his blog and I was interested and I took the the thing. But while I was taking it I was like “what the hell is this crap” cuz the questions were messed up. But I got the results and thought they were more then a little wierd.

Here is what it said

Your Brain Usage Profile

Auditory : 35%

Visual : 64%

Left : 40%

Right : 60%

Ben, you possess an interesting balance of hemispheric and sensory characteristics, with a slight right-brain dominance and a slight preference for visual processing.

Since neither of these is completely centered, you lack the indecision and second-guessing associated with other patterns. You have a distinct preference for creativity and intuition with seemingly sufficient verbal skills to be able to translate in any meaningful way to yourself and others.

You tend to see things in “wholes” without surrendering the ability to attend to details. You can give them sufficient notice to be able to utitlize and incorporate them as part of an overall pattern.

In the same way, while you are active and process information simultaneously, you demonstrate a capacity for sequencing as well as reflection which allows for some “inner dialogue.”

All in all, you are likely to be quite content with yourself and your style although at times it will not necessarily be appreciated by others. You have sufficient confidence to not second-guess yourself, but rather to use your critical faculties in a way that enhances, rather than limits, your creativity.

You can learn in either mode although far more efficiently within the visual mode. It is likely that in listening to conversations or lecture materials you simultaneously translate into pictures which enhance and elaborate on the meaning.

It is most likely that you will gravitate towards those endeavors which are predominantly visual but include some logic or structuring. You may either work particularly hard at cultivating your auditory skills or risk “missing out” on being able to efficiently process what you learn. Your own intuitive skills will at times interfere with your capacity to listen to others, which is something else you may need to take into account.

And that is rather odd I think….specially for an online test. Anyway….thats all for today.

Thank You, and goodnight.

Just a little update about Davids Graduation

No Gravatar

So, my youngest brother graduated high school last Friday, and that was cool. That now puts all three of us in college at the same time. It should be interesting to see what money problems arise in the next year or so. On the note of money problems….I made entirely too much money at Kimberly-Clark, and saved almost none of it because it is expensive to live in California, so I need to go to the financial aid office and fill out a special form or something. Also, I need to go clear my advising hold, and declare my CS minor sometime here soon. But anyway, just a short update, sooner or later I might start working on my page agian and add a picture section…maybe a picture blog, so I can just update new pictures and archive old ones, but we’ll see. Also, the news syndication for my site is down at the moment….I’ll have it back up when I figure out what went wrong with it, and I will link to my friends LiveJournals soon as well, so I can read their updates….maybe make this a portal to LJ since I don’t want to join LJ myself, so we can all have pictures and stuff and maybe a msg board or something, but I’ll work more on that later.

-Thank You, and Goodnight
