Quiz from Jeff’s (and others) blog

I liked this quiz better than most, so I’ll give it a go.


1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before?
Moved to Minnesota, Got Married, Graduated College, Learned to Enjoy Wine and a good Stout, and a bunch of other stuff.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yes I did…my new years resolution was not to make any more stupid new years resolutions (started this about 5 or 6 years ago…still doing well at it)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yep, lots of people

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yep, but we haven’t been that close in a while…I missed the funeral, someone really close to me died in late 2003, but I suspose that doesn’t count.

5. What countries did you visit?
Stayed in the country this year…went to canada last year…probably go again next year at some point.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A big screen TV and Surround sound. Also a ministry.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
My Wedding, duh, besides that, moving here, getting in a car accident on the way, talking to Laurens Dad a couple weeks ago, graduating, remembering when I decided to move here, the regional conference.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmmm…same as some of the stuff up there…moving here, getting married, graduating, in no particular order. Also, some of the personal growth I’ve had this year in my life is important to me.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Having to take 2 summer classes instead of one, not bitching more about how the old house looked so we could get more of our deposite back.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing too steep, mostly worried about my liver since they said it had weird test results.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A wedding ring, a diploma (I paid for that in more ways than one), an Ipod (I didn’t technically buy it….but still).

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Lot of peoples, my church plant teams, James, Dirk, (I would say Seth, but the Chosen One offsets the merits of his behavior ^_^ )

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
People who can’t learn anymore because they think they know everything, and the people who tortured the captured people in Iraq (both sides)

14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, moving, food, wedding.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Kingdom of God, my marriage, graduating (do I sense a theme?)

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Hey Ya, Zox – Cannon, Beautiful, Jesus was Way cool.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. happier or sadder? A little of both
ii. thinner or fatter? Been both ways…fairly stable this year though
iii. richer or poorer? maybe a little richer…but feels almost as poor as before

18. What do you wish you’d done more?
More sex, more time chillin in Champaign (could I really have done more of that), maybe studying

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Gotten mad

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
In California….no more white christmas for me.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Over and over again

22. How many one-night stands?
Hmm….I don’t know if your wife counts. If it did…a lot.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
Family Guy, 24, Aqua Teen Hunger Force,

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Don’t think so.

25. What was the best book you read?
It took all year, but by God, I finished that Church History book….

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Cakes new CD, OCRemix, Ipod

27. What did you want and get?
Ipod

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Too hard to tell…right at this moment, finding neverland is up there.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I think I went to the office…but I’ll bet there was drinking reguardless, 23

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not being in school…being married already, and raising people from the dead.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy…always have been…always will be.

32. What kept you sane?
Lauren, some of my friends

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Don’t remember

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Iraq, the ignorance of people yelling about elections

35. Who did you miss?
all my old crew back in chambana

36. Who was the best new person you met?
Karin and Trevor…I don’t know them very well, but for some reason I just like them a lot.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
You can’t do everything yourself, and you have to work at putting faith over fear.
