I pre-ordered the new Zelda sometime last May. I pre-ordered it from Best Buy despite Rob reminding me of the pain I went through with pre-ordering “Zelda: The Wind Waker” a few years ago.
And now, I wait.
It was supposed to come out in Nov. of ’05, then it got pushed back to late march / early april of this year, and now there is news of it being delayed until near the launch of the Revolution (Nintendo’s next generation system), which is later this upcoming fall.
So I went from having something fun to do on cold MN winter nights, to a spring spoiler, and now all the way to having a special status of “Taking advantage of the backwards-compatibility of the Revolution”
So freaking LAME!!!
Why is it when everyone else I know pre-orders a game, they usually don’t have problems, but I always get shafted, and I only pre-order games like once every three or four years.
Oh well, at least the Revolution has support for old Gamecube controllers on gamecube games, which means 4-player mario kart is still possible even after I sell my gamecube.
Speaking of Mario Kart, Glynn and I played some on the projector at the church last night, and that was sweet. I also got a chance to pick up an adaptor that took the stupid hum sound out of our powered monitor that we use for the drums. That is a pretty sweet night when you can play mario kart on a huge-ass screen and fix an annoying problem.
