I have a friend who has lost his job as a welder and has been out there looking for anything he can do.
He also has lost his apartment and has some legal stuff going on with his son he is trying to get organized.
Joe is looking for a few things, and I was hoping that someone out there might be able to help, or point him in a direction to get some help.
He is looking for:
- A job – any job, but his trade is welding, so that is of course his preference. But he will do anything
- A place to stay – he doesn’t have much money, food stamps and a little unemployment and will help where he can. This could be a temporary place.
- A storage place to put his stuff – Right now he is renting one of those mini-storage locker thingers, but it would be better if someone had some garage space for him to toss his stuff there.
So, if you have any thoughts or ideas, let me know.

The company I work for is hiring welders but that doesn’t help much since we’re down here.

This is much more of a long term solution. My dad is a semi-retired boilermaker. I know that they have been looking for people for the apprenticeship lately. If that is something Joe is interested in, I’m sure my dad would be happy to answer any questions and give him some direction.

Dude, that would be pretty awesome. He is going to end up staying with us for two weeks, and I’ll talk to him some about it.
Thanks.
