So I can’t vote. I didn’t get my birth certificate in time to go get my MN drivers license. Apparently it would be OK if I got it today and found a DMV open late enough for me to go home pick the thing up, and then go to the DMV. But alas, nothing looks acceptable. So no voting for my Dad today.
I think some of the things they say about video games are true. I feel a little dumber the longer I play. It doesn’t last, but for a while after I stop playing metroid I feel a little slow. Also the puzzles get harder the longer I play in a single setting, and I get hit a lot more by the bad guys. So I think prolonged playing of certain video games temporarily lowers your IQ, but I have no facts to back that up.
I am going to finish up this second Ipod thing this week I think. I am going to get Mom and David to sign up to help me out.
Also, if you pitty my poor over-educated and under-paid parents, follow this link to help them get a new computer. My brothers and I are just signing up people who either 1. want to help out my famil, or 2. want to get a free computer. Either way, my parents have a really really old computer that barely does anything they want it to now, but they are milking it because they are eternally broke. It is easy, there is even one offer (Infone) that you don’t have to cancel, you just have to not use the 5 free calls you get, and sometimes they even have a $10 gift card to amazon that goes along with it.
The election stuff is stupid, so I will talk about something else. Music. I hate bad radio channels. And I don’t mean, stations that play music I don’t like, I mean stations that repeate songs every hour to hour and a half. Today we turned on the radio, the first song that was on was replayed about an hour later (maybe a little more, but not much). That is sad. It isn’t even a good song. I hate pop channels.
Slowly but surely I’m chipping away at encoding my CD’s and renaming and tagging my old MP3’s. This is a long process. If anyone knows a really good way to speed it up tell me.
Poop. I like to say poop. Sometimes I think things are funny just because they have to do with poop.
Tuna salad sandwiches are not improved by green peppers, and not knowing they are on there and biting into a sandwich will give you quite a surprise.
The sun decided to come out, I hope it stays, it would be nice to drive home not in complete darkness.
I hate when it isn’t daylight savings time. I just think it is silly for the sun to come up earlier in the day so it can down early. Many more people want to see the sun at 5:30 pm than do at 6:30 am. I’m convinced that a lot of peoples depression and sleep deprivation problems are caused by, or worsened by the switch off of daylight savings time.
There is this church planting conference this weekend in Chicago. I can’t really see how I can go, but there is this other conference at a big church about 10 minutes from where I work. Dallas Willard is going to be at this one, so I might be OK with some time to myself, and a conference to go to where I don’t know anyone there. I think the whole team is going to the church planting one except me, so it will be an interesting weekend. I wonder if the U of M has a page like the UofI’s RO (registered organizations) page, I’ll go check when I’m done with this.
Well, enough rambling, I’m going back to mindlessly ghosting hard drives after I look up stuff about the U of M.

Daylight savings time was created when farming was a more prevalent occupation. Farmers like to get up early. I’m not sure why, I never have.
