Google News in the Morning

It’s Aids day….or thus Google tells me with the Ribbon on their front page. So here is an article about Dying kids in developing countries. I haven’t read this whole thing yet…but I figured people would be interested.

Also, for Jeff, if you get Firefox you can add Live Bookmarks which I found a great way to check headlines at work without going to the page and wasting work time…then later I read the whole story at home, or at lunch. The idea is, that these bookmarks check “feeds” ever 5 minutes or so, and grab new headlines. Here is the NPR’s List of Feeds, which has their different kinds of news, and their other programming. To make a “live bookmark to them you go to your bookmark manager, click file – add live bookmark..and just drop the link from that page in there. Also, in firefox if a icon appears in the lower right of a status bar, you can just click on it and select “add feed.” Works for LJ’s, BBC, NPR, AP World News, Slashdot…I got a ton of them. Just one more reason to use FireFox.

Check it out…Firefox is better than IE, if you don’t use it you should….unless you use a MAC, then you can get Camino…which is like firefox only developed for MACs.

Now, back to work.
