Got a decent bite on the resume. Sent out 4 or 5 yesterday, got one call from a head-hunter.
The guy asked me if I would be comfortable programming for PLC’s right now, if someone asked me to. I promptly responded, “I would probably like to be more familiar with a line before I started writing code, but given the right parameters and I/O, it wouldn’t be a problem.”
This time when they ask me how much I want to make, I think I’m going to skip the part where I tell them that I view money mostly as a nuiscence, and have never really be fond of it.
Besides that the guy said that this job would be me getting some framework and parameters and then going to town programing on PLC’s to get these packaging lines ready for customers. There would also be a good bit of face time with the customers, and up to 20% travel. All that sounds good to me, so I’ll be excited if I get an interview.
Also, that shit that happened in London today, officially sucked. I hope Blair gets back to that summit soon. He was the only game in town getting excited about this stuff.
