Last night I was coming home from a little going away party for Mike’s last day at work, and I got a ticket. That means I’ve been pulled over twice in Minnesota in a year, and once in IL in 7 years.
Bogus state, and their bogus insurance and driving laws.
Besides that, we are moving this weekend. I need some bigger guys to help us out on Friday, we are going to pre-emptively get some of the furniture into the Uhaul, so that the stairs aren’t clogged on saturday. I’m buying the first round at the Town Hall Brewery after that. And on saturday we are buying pizza and beer for anyone who can make it to help.
The festivities start at 9am because we have to be out of the place by noon.
I should have a performance review for my 1 year anniversary at work today or tomorrow. WIsh me luck, I’m asking for a 12 grand raise. That raise will still leave me well below national starting average for Electrical Engineers, but it will pull me up to somewhere that I think is at least appropriate.
Finally, I have hard drive space again, and I am starting to catch up on encoding Jeff’s sermons. So expect to see the last month or so appear online sometime in the next week or so on the church beta site I’m working on. Speaking of that beta site, I might finally have some help in ironing out the IE vs Firefox vs Opera bugs. A guy who is coming to our church now does that stuff for a living, so I’m hoping to get him involved, so I don’t have to do the part of this that I suck at, and hate.
That is all for now.
